Your metadata,
your household.
What the app stores
Family Document Dates stores household nicknames, document types, issuer labels, optional expiry dates and up to four optional identifying characters. It also stores past revisions, original-check timestamps, renewal events, reminder definitions and changes, household timezone and appearance settings. These are personal data even without scans or full numbers.
Where it goes
The app processes and stores this information locally. It has no account, developer-operated server, cloud sync, analytics SDK or advertising. The developer does not receive your household records through the app. No camera, contacts or location permission is requested.
Storage and device backups
The app applies iOS complete file protection to its saved metadata and app-created PDF files. This is platform protection, not an app password or a claim of end-to-end encryption. Your system-managed device or iCloud backup may include local app data depending on your settings. Apple and your chosen backup provider have their own policies.
Notifications
Notifications are optional and scheduled locally through iOS. Their text is generic and excludes nicknames, issuer labels and last-four values. System settings, Focus modes and platform scheduling limits can affect delivery.
Files you choose to share
A planning PDF omits last-four fields but includes selected nicknames, document types, issuer labels, dates and original-check/renewal status. It is redacted, not anonymous. A complete JSON backup includes optional last-four values and history. Neither exported format is encrypted by the app. Preview and choose recipients or destinations carefully. Files and sharing providers may upload or sync files under their own policies.
Deleting and recovering
You can delete individual documents or profiles and their dependent history, remove sample records, or delete all local metadata. A short in-memory undo lasts up to 30 seconds or until another edit. The app retains a previous intact save for recovery during ordinary editing; deletion replaces that recovery copy. Copies already exported, sent, printed or held in device backups remain outside the app’s deletion controls.
Purchases, website and support
Apple processes the paid app purchase under Apple’s privacy policy; this app contains no in-app purchases. This static website is hosted by Netlify, which may process IP addresses, request details and service logs to deliver and protect the site. The website uses no added analytics, ad trackers, contact forms or remote fonts. The developer can manage the site and service-level deployment/usage information.
If you email support, your email address and message are received by the support mailbox provider and developer and used to answer you. Do not send full identity numbers, scans, passwords or household backups. If you send personal information, request deletion by email where applicable; service providers may retain records under their own policies.
